Woman's Body Pulled From Water Off Jersey Shore

Authorities couldn’t immediately say how she ended up near the Route 37 Mathis Bridge.

Toms River police and firefighters, the Island Heights Volunteer Fire Company and a New Jersey State Police marine unit initially responded to the bridge’s south side shortly before 11:30 a.m., township police said in a statement.

The body was brought to the Aqua Blue marina, where Ocean County Crime Scene Investigation officers and a member of the Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office met them.
